Writer (n) 1. One who writes 2. One who engages in literary composition
I'm a writer. Writers have an insatiable curiosity. I start my day with the question... what if?
I usually end my day with WTF?

Mysteries almost exclusively.
I like an occasional thriller or suspense novel as long as the overall premise isn’t too outlandish to be believable. I can’t buy into the James Bond-ish mega-wealthy egomaniac who wants to take over the world scenario.
Horror? Forget it! I find their premises even more unbelievable.
Sci-fi and fantasy just don’t cut it for me. Nor does mainstream or literary.
I have a friend who writes romances and I always read her books. Escapist fare? Yes, but isn’t all fiction?
I do read some non-fiction but not any specific types, just whatever happens to catch my eye or as research for my own writing.
Definitely romance all way for me. I like romantic suspense-any by Linda Howard, her new stuff anyway, and I like stories set a hundred or more years ago-the men seem to be more realistic in them (usually). One of the best in that category that I’ve read is The Key by Lynsay Sands. I lost track of how many times I laughed throughout that one. When the cover says something stinks, take it literally HAHA
Murder mysteries. Those with a forensic flair as well. Something that makes you travel to places you may never see.
