Life as viewed from the skewed perspective of a mystery writer

My brain scares me at times

We had a very gray and rainy day yesterday so I really didn’t go anywhere or do anything.  That is until I stood at my kitchen window and watched a man walk past our yard.

He wasn’t dressed for the weather.  He dragged one of those folding  two-wheeled grocery carts behind him.  When he reached the end of our fence, he stopped, pulled a bag out of the cart, and put it in the dumpster for the apartment building behind us.

It’s my brain that had him as a serial killer putting a bag with a body part in the dumpster.  It’s a good thing that I don’t live alone because sometimes I scare myself.

You all have a good one.

You sound like my human – we were fishing the other day – wwwwaaaayyyy back in the mangroves, when he said, “What a great place to dump a body.” It kind of made me nervous.

You would have had a field day with your thoughts if we’d been neighbors back in the 70′s then. A couple we knew was visiting us. My husband and his wife were gone when I discovered that our freezer hadbecome unplugged over night, thawing out everything, including the frozen strawberries and blueberries I had in there. Our friend Bill helped me get all that stuff into a couple large lawn and leaf bags and then we took the bags outside with the juices still dripping from them. His comment was “I wonder what the neighbors would think if they saw us carrying these dripping bags outside…they’d probably think we were having an affair and got rid of our spouses.” True story.

    Love it!
